Middle School Basketball on a Roll

The middle school basketball season is off to a solid start this year with the girls going 2-1 in the first week of play while the boys are undefeated. The season opened on December 6 against the Fox Creek 7th grade teams. The Lady Patriots routed the Falcons 7th grade girls 36-1. The boys followed up with a 33-18 win.

Basketball Splits Games at Glendale Prep

The Patriots traveled to Glendale on Friday to meet the Glendale Prep Griffins on the basketball court and came away with split results.

The Lady Patriots came out first and quickly got outplayed by the Griffins hard pressing defense. Our girls simply couldn’t move the ball against the constant double-teams and had trouble defending the fast break. Basketball Season Opens With Pair of Wins

The high school basketball season kicked off last night with a set of home games against The Orme School* from Mayer, AZ. The Lady Patriots kicked off the double header with a 35-31 win after a slow start in the first quarter. Mrs. Higgins’ class ice experiment

Mrs. Higgin’s class did an ice experiment where they put ice on the ground and put a string over the top. They sprinkled salt on the ice and string, waited about 10 seconds, lifted it up, and the string is frozen to the ice. The students learned how the salt melts the ice around the string and refreezes once all the salt is melted away.
