This weekend marked the middle of our season with two great games against NFL YET on Saturday afternoon at home and Desert Pointe Academy Friday night in Peoria. The away game on Friday was an exciting win. After trailing throughout the game, Anthony Ortiz hit two free throws to grab the lead, which setup the win on the road. The next day, we faced NFL YET Academy in a game that really showed wonderful chemistry amongst our players and displayed talent from both sides of the court.

Head coach Frank Sagasta noted that the players on both teams showed great effort in sportsmanship and competitiveness. “Unfortunately,” he stated, “we ended up losing the game, but the players had alot of fun. I can honestly say it was the best game played by my players.”

Some key players in that game where Donald Gadd, Joseph McNelly, Jessten Caudle, and Timmy Lane with 5 steals. Sagasta pointed out that the team needs to work on free throws and capitalizing on turnovers. Nevertheless, he was pleased with his team’s performance.
