Mohave Accelerated Afterschool Program

The Mohave Accelerated Afterschool Program (MAAP) was launched in August 2009. The program is primarily funded through the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant, through which the school has obtained $500,000 over 5 years. The program was designed to provide a safe, relaxed atmosphere to improve student academics and promote parent and community involvement.

After school tutoring is provided at all grade levels by certified, Highly Qualified teachers and parental involvement is highly encouraged. Career development activities are held regularly with the assistance of local businesses and skilled employees. Field trips are scheduled to provide hands-on, informative, and fun learning experiences. Activities are arranged to promote academic achievement, physical fitness, social skills, and other positive attributes. Parents are provided with a safe and constructive haven for their children during those hours when supervision may not be available at home.
